Our Team
Rachel Flaherty, DVM
Dr. Flaherty grew up in Cumberland, Maine where she was an active participant in 4-H, Pony Club, and local dressage and combined training events.
A graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Flaherty has been practicing veterinary medicine in Maine since 2003. She is committed to offering client education, the highest quality care, and compassion for her patients. Her four-legged family members currently include a rescued off-the-track Thoroughbred named Stoli, and a pack of wonderful dogs, including Mira, who can often be seen in the front seat of the truck as she accompanies Dr. Flaherty on farm calls.
Jazmin DeRice Miller
Veterinary Technician
Jazmin is Dr. Flaherty’s on-the-road assistant. She grew up riding and caring for horses, and has loved horses from a very young age (thanks to her mother, another horse lover!) Jazmin holds a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree, and an Artist Diploma in Music. When she’s not drawing up vaccines, taking temperatures, or supporting your horse’s head during a routine dental, she can be found singing with her funk band (Boba Funk) or blissfully losing track of time with her family and dog named George on their farm in Midcoast Maine. She also really loves Maine-made cheese and is a staunch supporter of local farmers and Maine-made products! We are thrilled to have this smart, responsible, kind person as part of our team!
